Tiny Libraries

Libraries don't have to be large or permanent...

"The Fridge" is a library set up in Christchurch after the earthquake.  Readers were left without access to their usual libraries so a group of locals decided to do something about the problem.  Books were donated and put into a fridge with a glass door.  The fridge has been left on a suburban street and the public are to borrow them.

Above is an example from New York, USA, using an old British telephone booth.  This was opened at the beginning of September and is very popular!
